Rosa is a traditional white washed village house with beamed
ceilings and terracotta tiled floors situated in the village
of Yegen in Las Alpujarras, where the architecture of the
quaint white villages cling to the hillsides in compact clusters
of irregularly shaped houses with tall chimneys sprouting
from flat roofs - unique in Spain .

Kitchen
Tthe kitchen has a gas hob only, a fridge toaster microwave
the washing machine is situated in the stable below.
Dining room
The dining area has a simple pine table and 4 chairs situated
next to the window with views over the village to the Sierra
Gador and Mediterranean in the far distance.
Living room
Tthe living room is large and has two sofas one a sofa bed ,a
wood-burning fire and oil filled radiator, furnished in a simple
style with local rugs and throws, a cd player and spectacular
views to the Sierras.
Please note.
To get from the living room to the dining
room / kitchen, bathroom and bedroom you go up a fairly steep
set of stairs please. AS SEEN IN PHOTOS. Unforrtunately
these make this house unsuitable for people with mobility difficulties
and for young children. |
Outside
Just immediately outside the door is a small area with a table
and seating, a sun parasol and a portable BBQ. |
Notes
on Accommodation
The
house will be made ready for your arrival by Lucienne and she
will be pleased to help should the need arise, she speaks excellent
English,. The arrival time is 4 pm unless previously agreed,
often out of the main season this is not a problem and the departure
time is 10.am again unless previously agreed.There are information
books and maps in the house for your use. |

Travel
There is a choice of 2 airports Almeria one and a half hours
drive away or Malaga which is 3 hours drive away.
Car hire is almost essential though it is possible to get
round on public transport. Coast /beach/ swimming pools .The
nearest beach is La Rabita which is 50 minutes drive away
with more choice a short distance further. There are swimming
pools within 15 minutes drive away, Valor had a new pool open
in 2003, then Cadiar and Ugijar.
