Gador is a traditional white washed village house with beamed
ceilings and terracotta tiled floors situated in the village
of Yegen in Las Alpujarras which remains a world apart with
a rare sense of timelessness, its bizarre history still evident
with its Berber style villages and the terracing and irrigation
of the land. |

Accommodation
2 double bedrooms both with double beds, one with built in wardrobe
and chest of drawers and the other with hanging rail and chest
of drawers both rooms have electric radiators and fans for the
summer months, there are winter duvets and summer weight duvets
.
Bathroom.
The bathroom is small but adequate having a small bath with
shower over, wc and inset
wash basin, there is a washing machine just outside the bathroom
door.
Kitchen
The kitchen is well equipped and has an electric oven and gas
hob, a fridge / freezer.
Living rooms
The dining room and living room are separate with a wood-burning
stove with wood provided in the dining room and a oil filled
radiator and a gas heater in the living room. |
Outside
There are stairs to the roof terrace with the same spectacular
views that all the rooms enjoy, these stairs are fairly steep
and full mobility is required, especially when coming down,
unfortunately this makes this house unsuitable for some people
and very young children. On the terrace is a dining table
and chairs ,a large sun umbrella , 2 sun loungers and a portable
BBQ. |
Notes
on Accommodation
The house will be made ready for your arrival by Lucienne and
she will be pleased to help should the need arise, she speaks
excellent English. The arrival time is 4pm unless previously
agreed, often out of the main season this is not a problem and
the departure time is 10am again unless previously agreed. There
are information books and maps in the house for your use. |

Travel
There is a choice of 2 airports Almeria one and a half hours
drive away or Malaga which is 3 hours drive away.
Car hire is almost essential though it is possible to get
round on public transport. Coast /beach/ swimming pools .The
nearest beach is La Rabita which is 50 minutes drive away
with more choice a short distance further. There are swimming
pools within 15 minutes drive away, Valor had a new pool open
in 2003, then Cadiar and Ugijar.
